Féadfaidh an t-oideachas sraithe sinsearaí in Éirinn a bheith dhá bhliain nó trí bliana ar fad. Féadfaidh scoláirí clár Ardteistiméireachta dhá bhliain a dhéanamh nó bliain roghnach bhreise a dhéanamh ag tús na sraithe sóisearaí. An Idirbhliain a thugtar uirthi sin.
Déanann formhór na scoláirí an Ardteistiméireacht ag deireadh na sraithe sinsearaí. Is gnách le scoláirí idir 6 agus 8 n-ábhar a roghnú as liosta ábhar faofa.
Déanann scoláirí a roghnaíonn Gairmchlár na hArdteistiméireachta 6 nó 7 n-ábhar Ardteistiméireachta mar aon le dhá nascmhodúl: Ullmhúchán do Shaol na hOibre agus Oideachas Fiontraíochta.
Déanann scoláirí a roghnaíonn an Ardteistiméireacht Fheidhmeach clár réamhghairme ina bhfuil raon cúrsaí bunaithe ar thrí eilimint: Gairmullmhúchán, Gairmoideachas agus Oideachas Ginearálta.
We offer the traditional Leaving Certificate programme to all of our students. Students receive an extra 5-10% when they sit the exam as Gaeilge.
Senior cycle education in Ireland may be of two or of three year’s duration. Students may follow a two-year Leaving Certificate programme or they may take an additional optional year at the start of their senior cycle. This year is called Transition Year.
Most students take the Leaving Certificate examination at the end of their senior cycle. Students normally choose 6 to 8 subjects from the list of approved subjects.
Students following the Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme (LCVP) take 6 or 7 Leaving Certificate subjects and two additional Link Modules: Preparation for the World of Work and Enterprise Education.
Leaving Certificate Applied (LCA) students follow a pre-vocational programme made up of a range of courses that are structured round three elements: Vocational Preparation, Vocational Education and General Education.
