A Chairde,
Ba mhaith liom fíorchaoin fáilte a chur romhaibh chuig suíomh idirlín Choláiste de hÍde. Bunaíodh Coláiste de hÍde i 1993 le meánoideachas lán-Ghaelach a chur ar fáil i gceantar Tamhlachta agus máguaird. Is coláiste ilchreidmheach, lán-Ghaeilge í Coláiste de hÍde, a fháiltíonn roimh dhaltaí ar an tuiscint go bhfuil siad sásta glacadh go hiomlán le héiteas lán-Ghaeilge na scoile.
In imeacht breis agus cúig bliana is fiche, ó am a bhunaíodh CDH, tá Coláiste de hÍde ag soláthar ardchaighdeán oideachais trí mheán na Gaeilge do dhaoine óga sa cheantar. Tá an Ghaeilge agus an cultúr Gaelach lárnach in imeachtaí scoile. Léiríonn ár ndaltaí meas agus bród i leith a dteanga agus a gcultúr. Cothaítear meas i ngach aon duine, do gach duine, dá dtimpeallacht agus pobal.
Feidhmíonn an coláiste faoi phátrúnacht Bhoird Oideachais is Oiliúna Átha Cliath agus Dhún Laoghaire agus tá luachanna saothar an bhoird agus Dubhghlas de hÍde mar bhunchlocha teagaisc agus foghlama sa choláiste.
Déantar gach iarracht oideachas iomlánaíoch, nuálach, cruthaitheach a chur ar fáil agus bíonn ár bhfoghlaimeoirí lárnach in imeachtaí scoile. Tá sé mar aidhm againn an bóthar a réiteach do gach aon dalta a lán-acmhainn a bhaint amach in atmaisféar foghlama dearfach ina nglacann foghlaimeoirí úinéireacht ar a bhfoghlaim agus go stiúrann siad a n-eispéireas foghlama faoi éascaíocht ár múinteoirí paiseanta.
I would like to extend a warm welcome to the Coláiste de hÍde website. Coláiste de hÍde was founded in 1993 to provide an all-Irish secondary education in the Tallaght and surrounding areas. Coláiste de hÍde is a multi-denominational, Irish speaking college, that welcomes students on the understanding that they are willing to accept the Irish speaking ethos of our school.
Since the time CDH was founded, over the past twenty five years, Coláiste de hÍde has provided a high standard of education through the medium of Irish to young people of the area. The Irish language and culture are central to our school activities. Our students show respect and pride for their language and culture. We nurture respect for others, for their environment and for their community in all of our students.
The college functions under the patronage of the Dublin Dún Laoghaire Education Training Board and the values of the board and Douglas Hyde are the foundations for teaching and learning in our school.
Every effort is made to provide our learners with a holistic, innovative, creative education and that our learners are central to all school activities. It is our aim to prepare the path for every student to reach their full potential in a positive learning environment. Here students take ownership of their own learning and direct their own learning experiences while facilitated by our passionate teachers.
Le dea-mhéin,
Conchubhair Mac Ghloinn
Príomhoide na Scoile
